Cut the tops off of your empty plastic soda bottles and set them aside. Next, take one or two solar lights and carefully place them into your plastic bottle.

Now that they are nicely tucked away, you can place the bottle top back on if you wish to block out any excess light.

You can also use duct tape to seal the tops off to ensure that no water gets in.

Note:

Make sure that you place your lumens lighting as far down into the plastic bottle as possible so they are not visible outside the bottle. If someone were to look at them at night, it would ruin the "spookiness" of seeing the lights in the dark.

If you have many solar lights to waterproof, place your bottles into a larger bin or container and fill them with water, submerging them completely. This will help ensure that they are 100% waterproof and ready for use outside! You can also add some chlorine bleach if you'd like!

Whether you're planning a surprise pool party or want to give your little ones something to giggle about, make sure that you have fully waterproofed your solar lights!
